Through Madrid Espacios y Congresos, the Madrid City Government plans to build the largest meeting point in our country, a place to meet of international stature.
This key element of the Integral Plan for Convention Tourism places the Spanish capital at the heart of the world's economic forums.
It is located next to the Plaza de Castilla, a square at the start of the city's most important boulevard, el Paseo de la Castellana, and near the main beltways.
Across from Madrid's four tallest skyscrapers and perfectly integrated in the cityscape, it rises like a cupola among bell towers.
Its multifunctional floors can be adapted to meet any communication need.
The grand main auditorium, which can be expanded to accomodate 5,000 spectators, and up to 6.500, is a highly versatile and original space.
On each floor we can enjoy large areas that are uninterrupted by support structures, designed to house halls that adjust to the size of each event or efficient exhibition areas.
And the top floor will house an area of restaurants and coffee shops. From the heights, guests will be able to rest and enjoy the views of the city and the Guadarrama Mountains.
The building is conceived to facilitate access to the 30,000 visitors that it can hold, with three floors of parking and an ample loading area featuring seven modern large-capacity service elevators.
The impressive interior is hidden within a remarkable work of architecture, the work of the studio of Emilio Tuñón, Luis Moreno Mansilla, and Matilde Peralta del Amo.
The building fits into its surroundings and is environmentally friendly. It is oriented to take full advantage of the natural sunlight.
It will become a meeting point and a place for the interchange of ideas, a true engine of progress.
The International Convention Center joins the buildings managed by Madrid Espacios y Congresos.
This new investment is intended to convince the widest variety of international entities and institutions possible to choose Madrid as the venue for their big events with high levels of attendance.
With places that are just as perfect for every kind of musical, sports, and cultural event as they are for exhibitions and business meetings.
